About The Event
Have your say in your local area, and help cut crime.
In November 2012, the first ever set of Police and Crime Commissioner elections were held across 41 police force areas in England and Wales (excluding London.) Police and Crime Commissioners (PCCs) are elected representatives who oversee how crime is tackled in a police force area. Their aim is to cut crime and to ensure the police force is effective. PCCs are elected to make sure that local police meet the needs of the community.
